Cancellation Steps
Open the Manage Membership Page
In any web browser (on desktop or mobile), go to netflix.com/cancelplan. Sign in to the account owner's profile if you haven't already. Note: there's no Cancel option inside the Netflix app — you must use a browser.
Click Cancel
On the Manage your membership page, click (or tap) Cancel.
Finish Cancellation
Under Cancel, click (or tap) Finish Cancellation to confirm.
Check for Confirmation
A confirmation email is sent to the address on the account. Your membership stays active until the end of the current billing period.
Refund Policy
Netflix does not issue refunds or credits for partial months. When you cancel, you keep access until the end of your current billing period, after which billing stops.
- No partial-month or pro-rated refunds.
- Streaming continues until the paid period ends.
Common Issues
Don't See a Cancel Option?
If there's no cancellation option in your account, you're billed through a payment partner (such as a cable/mobile provider, Amazon, Apple, or Google). Open your Account page and look under Membership — you'll find a link to guide you, or instructions to contact that partner to cancel.
Signing Out Doesn't Cancel
Finishing cancellation is the only way to end your membership. Signing out of your account or deleting the Netflix app does not cancel it and billing will continue.
Restart Within 10 Months
If you change your mind, Netflix keeps your profiles and viewing history for 10 months — just restart membership in Account before then to pick up where you left off.
