The cheapest Netflix plan is Standard with Ads at $8.99/month. It streams in 1080p Full HD on 2 devices at once with about 4–5 minutes of ads per hour. Fewer than 1% of titles are locked on this tier due to licensing, and downloads are capped at 15 per device each month.
How many people can watch Netflix at the same time?
Standard with Ads and Standard both allow 2 simultaneous streams; Premium allows 4. Premium is also the only Netflix plan with 4K Ultra HD, HDR and spatial audio, and it supports downloads on up to 6 devices versus 2 on the lower tiers.
Can I share my Netflix account with someone outside my household?

Netflix raised US prices on March 26, 2026 — its second increase in 14 months. Standard with Ads rose from $7.99 to $8.99, Standard from $17.99 to $19.99, and Premium from $24.99 to $26.99. Premium has climbed roughly 50% since 2021, when it cost $17.99/month.
Does Netflix have an annual plan?
No. Netflix in the US is billed month-to-month only — there is no annual, prepaid or lifetime plan, and no yearly discount like Disney+ or Max offer. The closest workaround is prepaying with Netflix gift cards, which covers future months but doesn't lower the price.
