Overview
Subscription Price Guide (“we”, “us”) operates subscriptionpriceguide.com, an independent, informational website that tracks subscription pricing. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect very little — an email address if you choose to subscribe, and anonymous usage statistics. We never sell your data.
Information we collect
Email address (only if you subscribe)
If you sign up for price alerts or our newsletter, we collect the email address you provide, along with which services you chose to follow. Submissions are sent through our own server to Kit (formerly ConvertKit), the email platform that stores your address and delivers our emails. We use it solely to send the alerts and digests you asked for.
Usage analytics
We use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand how the site is used in aggregate — pages visited, approximate location (city/country level), device and browser type, and (for Clarity) anonymized session recordings of clicks and scrolls. This helps us see which comparisons and guides are useful. Both set cookies to distinguish visitors; we do not use them to identify you personally.
Cookies
Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity set cookies to measure aggregate site usage, as described above. We do not currently display third-party advertising and do not set advertising cookies. If that changes, this policy will be updated first.
How we use your data
- To send you the price alerts and newsletters you subscribed to.
- To understand, in aggregate, which pages and features are useful.
- To keep the site secure and available.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Data is shared only with the service providers named above (Kit, Google Analytics, and Microsoft Clarity), each acting as a processor to run this site.
Data retention & your rights
We keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Every email we send includes a one-click unsubscribe link. You can also contact us at any time to access, correct, or delete the data we hold about you — email hello@subscriptionpriceguide.com and we will act on your request promptly.
Children’s privacy
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us an email address, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site evolves. Material changes will be posted on this page. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
