Cancellation Steps
WhatsApp Plus is billed by your app store
WhatsApp Plus can only be purchased inside the iPhone or Android app, so the subscription is managed by Apple or Google — there's no cancel option inside WhatsApp's own settings.
Cancel on iPhone
Open Settings → your name → Subscriptions, select WhatsApp and tap Cancel Subscription.
Cancel on Android
Open Google Play → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions, select WhatsApp and tap Cancel subscription.
Keep perks until the period ends
Plus perks (themes, premium stickers, extra pinned chats) stay active until the end of the current billing month, then the app returns to the free experience.
Refund Policy
WhatsApp Plus follows Apple's and Google's standard subscription policies — no automatic refunds for partial months, and perks continue until the end of the paid period.
- Refund requests go through Apple or Google, not WhatsApp.
- Messaging, calls and end-to-end encryption are free and unaffected by cancelling.
Common Issues
Can't find the subscription?
Make sure you're signed in to the same Apple ID or Google account you used to subscribe — the subscription lives with the store account, not your phone number.
Uninstalling doesn't cancel
Deleting the WhatsApp app does not stop the subscription — cancel it in your app store's subscription settings first.
