Cancellation Steps

1

Open Accounts Center

In the Facebook app or on facebook.com, go to Settings & privacySettingsAccounts Center.

2

Find your subscription

Select Meta Verified or your Facebook Plus subscription, and pick the profile it applies to — Meta subscriptions are billed per profile.

3

Cancel the subscription

Tap Manage subscriptionCancel subscription and follow the prompts to confirm.

4

Billed through Apple or Google?

If you subscribed inside the iOS or Android app, the app store owns the billing: cancel via Settings → your name → Subscriptions on iPhone, or Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions on Android.

5

Check the end date

After cancelling, you keep the verified badge or Plus perks until the end of the current billing period, and no further charges follow.

Refund Policy

Meta does not refund partial billing periods for Facebook Plus or Meta Verified. Benefits continue until the end of the period you've already paid for.

  • No pro-rated refunds for unused time.
  • In-app purchases follow Apple's or Google's refund policies instead.

Common Issues

Verified on Instagram too?

Meta Verified is billed per profile, per platform — cancelling it on Facebook does not cancel a separate Meta Verified subscription on your Instagram account.

Can't find a cancel option in Accounts Center?

If you subscribed through the mobile app, the subscription may only be cancellable in Apple's or Google's subscription settings — check there before contacting support.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will I lose the verified badge right away?
No. The badge and other benefits stay until the end of your current billing period, then your profile returns to the free experience.
Does cancelling delete my Facebook account?
No. Facebook Plus and Meta Verified are optional add-ons — cancelling them leaves your account and content untouched, and the core service remains free.
Can I rejoin Meta Verified later?
Yes. You can resubscribe from Accounts Center at any time, though pricing may have changed since you first joined.
