Cancellation Steps

01

Work out where you subscribed

SuperGrok is billed where you bought it: on the web (grok.com) or through the Grok iOS / Android app. Cancel on that same platform.

02

Cancel on the web

Log in at grok.com, open your account's billing settings and select Manage Subscription, then follow the prompts to cancel or change plan.

03

Cancel on iPhone or iPad

If you subscribed in the Grok iOS app, open Settings → your name → Subscriptions, select SuperGrok and tap Cancel Subscription.

04

Cancel on Android

If you subscribed in the Grok Android app, open Google Play → profile icon → Payments & subscriptionsSubscriptions, select SuperGrok and tap Cancel subscription.

05

Keep access until the period ends

After cancelling, your SuperGrok limits stay active until the end of the current billing period, then the account drops back to the free Grok tier.

Refund policy

xAI does not automatically refund partial periods on web subscriptions — refund requests go through a support ticket and are reviewed case by case, with approved refunds arriving in roughly 5–10 business days.

  • App-store purchases follow Apple's or Google's refund process instead of xAI's.
  • You keep paid limits until the end of the billing period you've already paid for.

Common issues

Billing page won't open?

Ad-blockers can prevent grok.com's billing portal from loading. Try an incognito window or a different browser with extensions disabled.

SuperGrok vs X Premium confusion

SuperGrok (xAI) and X Premium (X) are separate subscriptions — cancelling one does not cancel the other. If you also pay for X Premium, manage it separately in your X settings.

Frequently asked questions

Do I keep access after cancelling?
Yes. Paid limits continue until the end of the current billing period, then you revert to the free Grok tier.
Does cancelling SuperGrok affect Grok inside X?
No. Grok access included with an X Premium subscription is separate and continues as long as that subscription is active.
Can I switch tiers instead of cancelling?
Yes. The same billing settings let you move between Lite ($10), SuperGrok ($30) and Heavy ($300); changes apply at the next cycle.
