Cancellation Steps
Open Account Management
In any web browser, go to playstation.com and sign in to Account Management with the account that owns the subscription. This is the fastest route and works from a phone or computer.
Go to Subscription
From the menu, select Subscription to see your PlayStation Plus plan and its next payment date.
Turn off auto-renewal
Select Cancel Subscription (shown as Turn Off Auto-Renewal in some regions) next to PlayStation Plus and confirm.
On a console instead
On PS5: Settings > Users and Accounts > Account > Payment and Subscriptions > Subscriptions, choose PlayStation Plus and cancel. On PS4: Settings > Account Management > Account Information > PlayStation Subscriptions.
Check for confirmation
Sony emails a confirmation, and the Subscription page shows the date your benefits end. You keep online multiplayer, monthly games and cloud saves until the current billing period runs out.
Refund Policy
Cancelling within 14 days of purchase qualifies for a refund, which Sony may reduce pro-rata for the time you've used; after 14 days, cancelling just stops renewal and access runs to the end of the paid period.
- 14-day window from the transaction date, even if you've started using the service.
- Refunds inside the window can be reduced proportionally to usage.
- After 14 days there is no refund for remaining time — benefits simply continue until the period ends.
- Prepaid or gifted subscription codes are generally non-refundable and run until they expire.
Common Issues
Don't see the subscription?
You're likely signed in to the wrong account — subscriptions attach to the purchasing account, not the console. Sign in with the account that pays for PlayStation Plus and check again.
Stacked prepaid time
Time added with prepaid vouchers isn't refundable and keeps running until it expires; turning off auto-renewal just prevents charges after the stacked time is used up.
