Cancellation Steps

1

Open Google One

On a computer, go to one.google.com and sign in with the Google Account on your plan. On Android or iPhone/iPad, open the Google One app.

2

Go to your membership settings

Click or tap Settings (on the web, in the left menu), or in the app tap Menu and choose Membership plans / Manage plan.

3

Tap Cancel membership

Select Cancel membership (on web, under the management options), then follow the prompts.

4

If you subscribed through Apple

If you joined Google One via an iPhone or iPad through the App Store, cancel in iOS Settings > your name > Subscriptions > Google One > Cancel Subscription instead.

5

Confirm and keep benefits until renewal

Confirm the cancellation. Your storage and benefits continue until the end of the current billing cycle, then they end.

Refund Policy

Google generally does not refund the remaining time on monthly plans; your expanded storage and benefits continue until the end of the billing period.

  • After cancellation you revert to the free 15GB shared across Drive, Gmail, and Photos.
  • If you're over 15GB, you can't add new files but existing data isn't deleted right away.
  • Annual plan refunds may be available in limited cases through Google support.

Common Issues

Purchased through the App Store

If you subscribed via the Apple App Store, the cancel option is disabled in Google One—cancel through Settings > Subscriptions on your Apple device.

Over the free storage limit

Once you drop to 15GB, Gmail may stop receiving mail and Photos/Drive uploads pause until you free up space.
